RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Clear Policies Fair Process
Our Approach to Refunds
Waypoint Imports provides import coordination, shipping, logistics, customs-related support, and delivery services. Because many services involve bookings, third-party providers, government charges, and work completed specifically for an individual shipment, refund eligibility may depend on the stage of the service when a cancellation or change is requested.
This policy explains the general circumstances in which payments may be refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable.
Services Rather Than Retail Products
Waypoint Imports primarily provides shipping, coordination, import management, and related logistics services rather than traditional retail products.
As a result, a standard product return process may not apply. Requests are instead assessed according to the services completed, commitments already made, and costs incurred for the shipment.
Cancelling a Service
If you need to cancel an import, shipping, pickup, delivery, or other service, please contact Waypoint Imports as soon as possible.
The amount that may be refundable will depend on whether work has already been completed, a carrier or third-party provider has been booked, or non-refundable costs have already been incurred.
Earlier cancellation generally gives us more opportunity to stop additional costs from being incurred on your behalf.
When a Refund May Apply
Depending on the circumstances, a refund or account adjustment may be considered where:
- A service is cancelled before work begins
- No third-party costs have been incurred
- A duplicate payment has been received
- An overpayment has been identified
- A paid service cannot be provided
- A billing adjustment is confirmed as necessary
Any approved refund may be reduced by amounts already earned, paid, committed, or incurred in connection with the shipment.
Costs Already Incurred
Certain amounts may not be refundable once the applicable service has been performed, booked, committed, or paid to another provider.
- Completed service or management work
- Carrier booking charges
- Freight or transportation costs already incurred
- Port or terminal charges
- Customs or government-related fees
- Insurance premiums already placed
- Inspection or processing charges
- Storage, demurrage, or detention charges
Carrier & Government Costs
Waypoint Imports may make arrangements or payments with carriers, transport providers, ports, insurers, government authorities, customs-related providers, and other third parties as part of a shipment.
Refunds for these amounts may be subject to the cancellation and refund policies of the relevant third-party provider.
After Shipping Has Been Arranged
Once freight, pickup, transportation, insurance, port handling, or another service has been booked, cancellation fees or other charges may apply.
If the shipment has already entered transit or a service has been substantially performed, the applicable service charges may no longer be refundable.
Changes to Your Shipment
Changes to shipment details after a quote, booking, or payment may affect the total cost of the service.
This may include changes to the pickup location, vehicle or vessel details, dimensions, shipping method, delivery destination, timing, or additional services requested.
Any difference in cost may be invoiced additionally or, where appropriate, applied as an adjustment.
Payment Corrections
If you believe you have made a duplicate payment or paid more than the amount due, please contact us with the relevant payment and invoice details.
Once verified, any confirmed excess amount may be refunded or applied as an account adjustment where appropriate.
How Approved Refunds Are Handled
Approved refunds will generally be returned using an appropriate available payment method after the applicable charges and supporting records have been reviewed.
Processing time may vary depending on the original payment method, financial institution, payment processor, and any third-party reconciliation required.
Bank or payment-provider processing times may continue after Waypoint Imports has initiated an approved refund.
Questions About a Charge
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact Waypoint Imports first so that we can review the invoice, shipment records, services performed, and applicable third-party costs.
Providing the invoice number, payment reference, and shipment details can help us investigate the matter more efficiently.
