DELIVERY & FULFILLMENT POLICY
From Arrival to Final Delivery
How Delivery & Fulfillment Works
Waypoint Imports coordinates the movement of vehicles, vessels, and other approved shipments from origin through arrival in the Cayman Islands and, where included in the selected service, through final delivery or customer handoff.
This policy explains the general fulfillment process, expected timelines, customer responsibilities, and circumstances that may affect shipment delivery.
What Our Service May Include
Depending on the service selected and the individual shipment requirements, Waypoint Imports may coordinate some or all of the following:
- Origin pickup coordination
- Freight booking and shipment scheduling
- Marine insurance coordination
- Shipment documentation support
- Port arrival coordination
- Duty and customs-related processing
- Port handling and release coordination
- Final delivery or customer handoff
The exact services included will depend on the quotation or service arrangement provided for the shipment.
Before Fulfillment Begins
Shipment coordination begins once the required shipment information, documentation, approvals, and any applicable payment requirements have been completed.
Customers should carefully review the shipment details provided to Waypoint Imports, including the vehicle, vessel, cargo, pickup location, destination, and contact information.
Incomplete or inaccurate shipment information may affect pricing, customs processing, scheduling, or final delivery.
Collection From Origin
Where pickup service is included, Waypoint Imports will coordinate with the appropriate transportation provider to arrange collection from the agreed location.
Pickup timing may depend on the location of the shipment, carrier availability, access requirements, vehicle or vessel condition, and other transportation considerations.
Moving Your Shipment
Once booked with the applicable carrier, the shipment will move according to the carrier's available sailing, freight, or transportation schedule.
Transit dates and arrival times provided before or during shipment should be treated as estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise.
Processing on Arrival
After arrival in the Cayman Islands, the shipment may be subject to customs procedures, government requirements, inspection, duty assessment, port processing, and other applicable clearance steps.
Waypoint Imports may coordinate these steps where included in the agreed service, but processing times may depend on government authorities, port operators, documentation availability, and other third parties.
Ready for Handoff
A shipment can generally proceed to final delivery or customer collection after all required release steps have been completed.
This may include customs clearance, payment of applicable duties and charges, port release, completion of required documentation, and settlement of any outstanding service amounts.
From Port to Final Destination
Where final delivery is included, Waypoint Imports will coordinate transportation of the released shipment to the agreed delivery location.
The customer or an authorized representative may need to be available to receive the shipment and confirm handoff.
- Delivery location must be accessible
- A recipient may be required at handoff
- Special access requirements should be disclosed
- Delivery instructions should be provided in advance
Estimated Timelines
Estimated fulfillment and delivery times vary based on shipment origin, shipping method, carrier schedule, customs requirements, port processing, and final delivery arrangements.
Waypoint Imports will provide updates where reasonably available, but estimated dates should not be considered guaranteed delivery dates.
Unexpected Changes
Delays may occur because of factors outside the reasonable control of Waypoint Imports.
- Carrier schedule changes
- Weather conditions
- Port congestion
- Customs inspections
- Government processing
- Mechanical or transportation issues
- Documentation delays
- Third-party service interruptions
Where material delays become known, we will make reasonable efforts to keep the customer informed.
Uncollected or Delayed Shipments
Storage, demurrage, detention, port, transportation, or other third-party charges may apply when a shipment cannot be cleared, released, collected, or delivered within the available time.
Such charges may arise from delayed documentation, outstanding payments, customs requirements, customer availability, or other circumstances.
Shipment Condition
Customers should inspect their vehicle, vessel, or shipment as soon as reasonably possible following delivery or collection.
Any visible damage or concern should be reported promptly so the circumstances can be reviewed and, where applicable, the relevant carrier, insurer, or service provider can be contacted.
Insurance claims, where applicable, remain subject to the terms, documentation requirements, exclusions, limits, and procedures of the applicable insurance provider.
Helping Keep Delivery on Track
Customers are responsible for providing the information and cooperation reasonably required to coordinate shipment fulfillment.
- Provide complete and accurate shipment details
- Submit requested documentation promptly
- Pay required charges by the applicable deadline
- Provide accurate contact information
- Be available for required approvals or handoff
- Inform us promptly of changes affecting delivery
